      Godd units, not universal fit

It's very well made of durable materials but needs a longer thru bolt. If it had a longer thru bolt, it seems that the modern forks using axles would be able to fit on the mount - at least the fork from a 2010/11 Giant/Fox fork with a 15mm dia axle would. Adapters cost nearly as much as this whole unit. Had yakima simply made longer thru bolts at a cost of pennies in materials, this unit would have been more universal in application. The end cap is good to go to accept a longer thru bolt; it has a hole in it that would allow the bolt to pass through were it tightened farther and farther. Long story short: It prolly fits any forks that have a drop-out wheel and a 100mm fork spread. I think most folks who have a 100mm fork spread, regardles if they have a 15mm, 24mm, 25mm or whatever dia axle, can figure out how to rig their forks to this unit if the thru bolt were only longer. For an axle system, check at the store for fitment issues, or be prepared to return the little guy to Yakima, OR be prepared to order an adapter like this: (Not actually sure if this will work) [@] june 10, 2011

      Good solid mount.

This is a very nice option for truck bed bike transport. I appreciate the locking feature and will utilize it but I still wouldn't trust it as as my only security measure in sketchy areas. I'll run a huge chain through the frame and lock it to the truck "D" ring as extra insurance whenever my ride is out of sight.
