      Improvements: Even the slightest taper in the Pillars would allow them to fit into the saddle better. Also make them out of something other than plastic.. it’s a terrible design.

      Terrible design! It’s super easy to bend the plastic by over tightening, even by hand. I had to buy a second set of these and even the second set that wasn’t over tightened. It was very difficult to seat the pillars into the saddles. They could’ve tapered where the pillars fit into the saddle to allow it to be easier to seat. Now I’m afraid to remove the pillars because I’m afraid I may never get them back in. I wish I had gotten a different brand.

      Bought a new car and couldn’t find anything that would attach to the flush roof rails because the engineers hadn’t had time to make them yet. Then I discovered fixed point connections and landing pads. The landing pads attached right to where the OE cross bars would have been and the landing pads make it easy to attach the Yakima cross bars and gives them a secure locking point and they look great. Am now kayaking again, great product. Thanks
