Not all Yakima rubber straps are Chain Straps. Yakima racks made before 2004 used what we call the World Strap. The World Strap has larger holes (3/4”) and usually had 4 or 5 holes, where the Chain Strap has 8 or 10 (1/2”) holes. If your rack uses a World Strap, the Chain strap will NOT fit.
