Picnic In The Camper

Food For Thought

Date August 21, 2012

You’re tired of eating beans, weenies and burgers on your camp-out.

The family doesn’t want to come along, because they can’t go without their favorites from the fridge.

Camp Cooking

Food is a pretty important part of every outdoor adventure, but there’s no reason it can’t be awesome.

Gourmet, even.

If you need help in the culinary department, here are 3 great resources:

  • SeriousEats.com — They’ve got just over 400 articles on camping recipes.
  • Scoutorama.com — This unofficial site for boys and girls in Scouting has over 500 recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • KOA — America’s biggest campground company has you covered. Pineapple upside down cake on a campfire. For real.
What’s your favorite camp-out meal?
